“Daphne” is a fascinating artwork that captures the essence of the mythological figure Daphne from Greek mythology. Daphne was a beautiful nymph, a nature spirit often associated with trees and streams. Apollo, the Greek god of music, poetry, and the sun, fell in love with Daphne, but she did not return his affections. When Apollo pursued her, Daphne fled to evade his advances.
